Can it function without WooCommerce?

Why am I prompted for an email when logging in with Twitter?
Twitter doesn’t provide an email address by default. So, the plugin asks users to enter it the first time to complete the account setup.
Is a secure (HTTPS) site needed for Facebook login?
If you’re using Facebook App version 2.12 or later, your site must be served over HTTPS.
Why aren’t my social login buttons showing?
If you’re already logged in, they won’t appear. Try visiting the site in an incognito window or a different browser.
Can users still access their account if they remove a social connection?
Yes, every social login still creates a WordPress user account using their email or handle. They can request a new password anytime to log in through traditional methods.
Do social platforms gain access to user data from my store?
No, social platforms only receive basic login data—no order history or activity is shared. The information exchanged is minimal and focused solely on authentication.
What happens if I deactivate the plugin?
User accounts remain intact. Since each social login creates a regular WordPress user account, users can log in using the “forgot password” feature if needed.
What if login buttons still don’t show up?
It may be due to your theme overriding WooCommerce templates and missing necessary action hooks. You can use the [woo_social_login] shortcode to manually place login buttons or ask your theme developer to add WooCommerce-compatible hooks.
Why isn’t it working in the Google app on iPhone?
The plugin works with mobile browsers like Safari and Chrome, but not with the Google app on iPhones, which doesn’t behave like a standard browser.
Is it compatible with Varnish caching?
Yes, tests have shown that the plugin works fine with Varnish, assuming correct configuration.
Does it support Instagram login?
No, Instagram login has been discontinued. The API required for this feature was deprecated in 2019 and fully removed in 2020, so Instagram is no longer available as a login option.
Why isn’t the Facebook cover photo being set in PeepSo profiles?
Due to recent changes in Facebook’s Graph API (version 3.0), the cover photo field is no longer part of the public profile data, and this feature is no longer supported.
