SUMO Subscriptions v17.3.0 – WooCommerce Subscription System
SUMO Subscriptions provides a full-featured solution for handling recurring payments in WooCommerce. With this plugin, you can easily turn your existing store into a subscription-based model and offer a variety of subscription types tailored to your products.
Designed to be the most flexible subscription tool for WooCommerce, it supports everything from single-product subscriptions to variable and grouped product subscriptions. You can even offer subscription options for regular (non-subscription) products and non-membership items.
Customers can choose how often they’re billed and how many payments they make, thanks to customizable renewal intervals and installment settings. You can synchronize subscription renewals, and optionally apply prorated charges when aligning subscription start dates.
It allows mixed purchases, so customers can buy subscription and non-subscription products in a single order.
Recurring payments can be processed automatically through several gateways including Stripe (requires the WooCommerce Stripe plugin), PayPal (via WooCommerce PayPal Payments), traditional PayPal Subscriptions, or even SUMO Reward Points if the corresponding plugin is active. Manual renewals are also supported using any gateway compatible with WooCommerce.
Multiple subscriptions can be purchased at once, and you can offer both free and paid trial periods. It’s also possible to charge a one-time signup fee during subscription initiation.
Subscribers can switch between variations, upgrade or downgrade their subscription plans, and you can choose whether to charge the full amount or prorated cost during changes.
Customers are given full control over their subscriptions—they can pause, cancel, reactivate expired ones, or modify the quantity of items in a subscription.
Digital content delivery can be staggered (drip-fed), and you can provide extra downloadable files to enhance the value of your subscription products.
Admins can manually create subscription orders and assign them to users, with additional options to include or exclude shipping and tax costs during recurring billing cycles.
You can set specific rules for overdue payments and suspension windows, and configure multiple reminder emails for renewals and payment follow-ups. Special coupon types can be used to discount signup and recurring fees.
When automatic renewals are cancelled, subscriptions can switch to manual mode, giving customers more control over how they continue.
Bulk updates can be applied to multiple subscription items, making it easier to manage settings for several products at once.
The plugin also supports recurring donations and membership-based access, when used with the appropriate SUMO plugins.
Fully flexible and developer-friendly, the plugin is WPML-compatible and ready for translation into any language.
This plugin also integrates well with other SUMO extensions such as SUMO Reward Points, SUMO Memberships, SUMO Donations, and SUMO Affiliates Pro. It’s also compatible with WooCommerce extensions like Recover Abandoned Cart and PayPal Payouts.
To install the plugin, download the latest version from Codecanyon, extract the files, and upload the main plugin archive via your WordPress dashboard. Once uploaded, simply activate it.
Upgrading to the newest version is just as simple. Deactivate and remove the older version, upload the latest plugin file via your dashboard, and activate it again. Your data and settings will remain unchanged.
Important note for users upgrading to version 14.0 or later: once you move to v14.0 from an earlier release (13.8 or lower), you won’t be able to revert to an older version.
