Apuslisting is a powerful and versatile WordPress theme designed for building both local and global directory websites. Whether you’re curating a list of favorite places in your city or launching a worldwide directory, this theme gives you the flexibility to set your own goals and start publishing listings with ease.
To get started, some plugins are necessary or recommended for full functionality. WP Job Manager (free) is essential for handling general listings, while WooCommerce (also free) enables monetization. Additional helpful tools include Contact Form 7 and MailChimp for WordPress for communication and marketing, plus social login integrations through Nextend Connect for Facebook, Google, and Twitter.
The theme demo also showcases optional premium tools such as WooCommerce Bookings, which adds reservation features, and WP Job Manager – WooCommerce Paid Listings, which helps monetize listings.
Users can submit listings directly from the front end, making it easy for contributors to get involved. Other features include the ability to claim existing listings, accept reservations, and book appointments.
There are three layout styles for displaying listings, including a half map view, grid, and list format, plus two layout options for individual listing detail pages. Visitors can mark listings as favorites, leave reviews, and respond to others’ feedback.
Three homepage designs are included, offering layout variety right out of the box. The footer area is fully customizable with a builder tool, allowing you to easily edit or create a unique footer.
